BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks targeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah during the Lok Sabha debate, saying the allegations were baseless and that Gandhi should apologise for his statements.

The controversy erupted after Rahul Gandhi accused Amit Shah of being responsible for the police action against students protesting over alleged examination-related issues.

His remarks triggered sharp protests from BJP MPs, leading to repeated disruptions in Parliament as members demanded that he either provide evidence or withdraw his comments.

Reacting to the political row, Kangana Ranaut defended Amit Shah and accused Rahul Gandhi of making irresponsible allegations without proof.

She said public representatives should exercise restraint while making accusations inside Parliament and called on the Congress leader to apologise if he could not substantiate his claims.
The exchange has further intensified the ongoing confrontation between the BJP and the Congress during the Monsoon Session.

While the BJP has maintained that Rahul Gandhi’s allegations are politically motivated, the Congress has defended its leader, insisting he was raising concerns over the government’s handling of student protests.

The issue has become one of the biggest flashpoints in Parliament, with both sides continuing to trade accusations as the session progresses.
